Guidance Counselor
ITA Guidance Counseling Department oversees student behavior, academics, and character education. How we behave and treat others reflects our character. ITA focuses on many character traits such as: responsibility, respect, fairness, sharing, and patience. Other topics covered in classroom guidance lessons include: bullying (the bully, victim, and 4 types of bullying), self-control, and friendship. Individual counseling is offered for students who are struggling with behavior, academics, and personal/relational problems. Students are encouraged to solve their own problems through mediation and guidance so that they learn to accept responsibility for their own actions and behaviors. ITA Rams are always striving to demonstrate good character!
